The existence of the devil is so clearly taught throughout the Bible that to doubt it is to doubt the Bible itself. To be sure, Satan is not a metaphor for evil. He is evil. Jesus gives us a clear understanding in John 10:10 (NLT ) that Satan “comes only to steal and kill and destroy”

Many Christians have allowed the cares of this world [COVID/politics], the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things [family, recreation, escape], to slowly destroy their faith in Christ Mark 4:19 (NLT).
