Where is God with the Coronavirus?

The question might be asked: “How could a loving, all-powerful, all-knowing God allow a virus with no cure to wreak destruction on a global basis?”  Nothing good can come out of this massive attack on mankind!  So, either we can’t trust God or there is no God.

This kind of logic, of course, rejects the Holiness of God and the truth, promises, warnings, and prophecy of His Holy Scriptures. God, in the person of Jesus Christ, came to earth to seek and save the lost, that none of us should be lost.  His singular focus for mankind is to get as many of us as possible into Heaven!  And He loves us so much that He will do whatever it takes to get us into Heaven before our time on earth is finished.

This Is Not What God Intended
God created a perfect world for us . . . a beautiful paradise with abundant food and free from disease. But He also gave us freedom of choice.  And it was Adam and Eve’s disobedience that separated us from God and opened the door to famines, wars, disease, and physical death.

Human Misunderstanding
God’s view of good is far different from ours. For us, good is having the best of everything, including our health. For God, good is getting the most people as possible into Heaven.  And He knows that our need for His help in bad times draws us closer to Him and our self-sufficiency in good times pushes us away.

God used the tragedy of 911 to get Americans back in church.  After 911, church attendance soared to record levels, but it didn’t take!  With the return of normalcy and self-confidence, people left just as quickly. Six months later, church attendance was lower than what it had been prior to 911.

America wasted its opportunity to get back in sync with God by not accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. When you’re self-sufficient, you don’t need God.  We’ve been pushing God out of our culture ever since and we’re paying a heavy price.  All of us are wanting to run from the shouting, anger, and hidden agendas to a place of peace and tranquility . . . that’s only available to those who live under God’s protection. The world is desperate for God’s “peace that passes understanding.”

Here’s the good news!
God loves us too much to give up on us . . . to not allow tragedies like the Coronavirus to get our attention and bring us back to Him.  And each time they will get even bigger!  That’s where we are today!

A Sober Warning
The sudden, restrictive lifestyle being put upon us is eerily reminiscent of End Times prophecy. In a matter of days, our freedom of gathering and movement, buying and selling and even church attendance has been greatly curtailed.   And we have nothing to say about it as global (if not satanic) forces are ruling the day.  No one can control the Coronavirus.

This should not be a surprise for Christians! God gave us prophetic scriptures to prepare us for this moment in time . . . as a precursor for what is to come.  Matthew refers to these events as “birth pangs” and “the beginning of sorrows.” In His mercy, God’s using this horrific moment as a compelling foretaste of what’s ahead, to wake us up spiritually.

It’s Time To Start Sharing Your Faith!
This message can be inserted into every conversation about the Coronavirus! Today is the day of salvation! God’s using the Coronavirus as a warning, to all mankind, to enter into His amazing grace and protection before it’s too late . . . before it gets much worse, according to God’s Prophetic Scriptures.  But it’s up to you to connect the dots!

Send Them Online
As it was with 911, church attendance would be soaring right now if they were not closed.  Here’s an alternative:  On Saturday nights, email all of your unsaved friends and explain how they can be comforted by watching a Sunday morning service online. They’re already predisposed! And make it easy. . . direct them to an evangelistic church that has a call for salvation at the end of their services so they can actually receive the Lord. An excellent choice is Greg Laurie at Harvest.org, whose online commitments to faith at the end of his services are exploding.

Every Person Needs God’s Protection . . . Now!
Living in turbulent times, occasionally interrupted by increasingly catastrophic events, is our new norm.  Why would any logical person want to live, at this time in human history, outside of God’s protection . . . and remain uncertain as to where they will go when they die?   That warning is ringing inside every newscast today!

It’s Not Going To Get Better!
Regardless of when the End Times prophecies come to pass, every day between now and then will provide no rest for the wicked.  But here’s the Good News: Jesus says Come unto me, all who are burdened and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28). Who of us today is not desperate for that rest?

Reference Quotes and Scriptures:

“For this time, it will be God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side.”
C.S. Lewis

“Such are the conditions prior to Judgment Day. We need to learn from this and not fret when we see these things happening but say: Christ predicted beforehand that the world would become savage, coarse, greedy and so on. Well then! That’s the way it is, and it is even going to get worse.”
Martin Luther

“The Apocalypse speaks powerfully of trouble ahead with storm warnings that carry a booming jolt of truth. The warning is clear: Prepare to meet thy God – followed by the voice of the Gentle Shepherd.”
Billy Graham

“At the day of Doom, men shall be judged according to their fruits. It will not be said then, did you believe? But were you doers or talkers only?”
John Bunyan

“Precisely because we cannot predict the moment, we must be ready at all moments.”
C.S. Lewis

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of Godliness, but denying its power.
II Timothy 3:1-5

Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many (for God) will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 24:12-13

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but have itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
II Timothy 4:3-4

There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from Heaven.
Luke 21:11

But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
Matthew 24:8

I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass away from the scene until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
Matthew 24:34-35

And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 7:1-2

In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for God’s Chosen Ones.
Matthew 24:22

For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
I Thessalonians 4:16-17

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

  • 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.

  • I am saved and a child of God. BRAVO to whoever got this post started. I don’t think you overlooked a thing. I minister on FB daily and have stressed all of these facts and pleaded for all to accept Jesus Christ before the door is closed.

  • Prepare to meet thy God is excellent. I believe God is giving us every chance to turn our lives over to Him. He loves YOU, and because He loves YOU so much, He went to the Cross for US. By all rights, WE should have been on that Cross. We have seen a lot of devastation in the last several years. We are still here, and God is on His Throne !!!! Thank you Jesus !!!!!!!
