Barry Meguiar

Welcome back to ignite. You know, this family of God concept where we’re all part of the family of God. I don’t know about you, but some family members are closer than others. I just I go to a lot of different Christian groups organizations all across the country and I find some I gravitate to and so I don’t and sometimes when I’m out with them socially at meals and stuff it’s there’s a lot of different types of Christians I guess is what I’m saying, hey, you know, you have on fire Christians, you have lukewarm Christians, you have carnal Christians and a lot of terms. So this family concept, a in the natural, we have family members, but there’s some family members out I guess all of us are a little closer to that others. We have a guest today who is a very close family member, but I hardly know him. So I want to address that point. I’ve interviewed a lot of people about sharing their faith. And I find that there’s this one consistent thing throughout all of them is that they all have, they all hold God is their first love. More important than anything else. And when he’s your first love and nothing separate, you just want to just serve him or anything else. You just want to serve Him. You automatically share your faith, you just do. I interviewed a lady it’s on it’s on ignited america.com, a black lady who’s had a decidedly different life than than me and had a lot of health problems. And she’s so for the Lord, we just let her talk to camera. I didn’t even interview her. And as she spoke, I wept because this lady was she she was saying my innermost thoughts. What she said was exactly what I believe to my core. How is it that we could grow up in different areas? Locations, families, be so different. And I just fell in love with this lady. And as she was speaking, I could ever speak for me, there was no separation between me and her. There just wasn’t. And I thought about that since quite a lot. You know, there’s one God, we serve one God, one Holy Spirit. It’s one Bible. And when we come into oneness with God, what he’s our first love we’re in sync with everybody else who has first love. And we’re if you want to, if you want to be a part of the family of God, not just the title that, oh, I’m a Christian, I’m a Christian, you go out to eat, and they don’t even talk about God. They talk about everything but God, and then you go with another group of Christians get the entire conversation when I was like, wow, that was great. And we all got closer to God because that guy, those are fun. And those are family members. Okay. I have a new family member, and I’m very close to this guy. And in the natural, I hardly know him. He lives in Texas. He’s he’s in Dallas. His name’s Bradon Pogue. And I, I met his mom at a prayer retreat. At my house, ladies prayer retreat, and these were just ladies going to pray. They were praying ladies coming to pray. And everybody’s there. Their lives were changed, including mine. I got to say that we sit in something, you know? And this lady got up that just so blew me away what she said and I whenever I see somebody that is just really full, I’d like to go over get what they have. Because some of that come off on me, you know. So that was Brandon’s mom. And about a month or so later, she called me. And she said, Barry, where are you? I say I’m in Scottsdale. She says, Oh, I’m so glad you’re in Scottsdale right now. You got to talk to my son, Brandon. He just let a jew to the Lord and and he’s in Texas but he’s flying to Scottsdale today. So I want to get into that conversation but still. We are soulmates, we’ve had so much fun talking on the phone. And I wish you could have recorded some earlier conversations Brandon but welcome. Welcome to ignite. And now we get to do so other people to see what we’ve been doing on the phone in the last several weeks. Or so much. much fun. Welcome my friend, welcome.

Brandon Pogue

Hey, thanks so much. Barry, It’s so great to be here. As you say we barely know each other, but we know each other, right? You have been such an inspiration, the last few months that we’ve been talking, and the things that we’ve been able to do, the only way that can happen is if it’s supernatural. And we can talk about Jordan and, and what what’s happening transpired there. But I think one of the things that that you and I talked about, even at lunch, when you came in here to Dallas a month ago, was how can people not have this fire about sharing Jesus on an everyday basis? Like, how can you be a Christian? And do people think it’s hard? And Barry, I mean, you and I talked a little bit about that. Why do people think it’s hard to talk about Christ and, and what I’ve been finding out since since we’ve kind of had this winning streak since Easter this year, I’ve got the lead four men and Christ, just boom, boom, boom, boom. Amazing.

Barry Meguiar

All right..

Brandon Pogue

Yeah.

Barry Meguiar

You’re a businessman. Okay,

Brandon Pogue

Yes.

Barry Meguiar

You’re not a pastor. You’re not an evangelist.

Brandon Pogue

No.

Barry Meguiar

You have this business True Labs, which

Brandon Pogue

Yeah,

Barry Meguiar

Is we’re not here to talk about that. But let me tell you True Labs, give you a 6o second pitch about True Labs just real quick.

Brandon Pogue

So we say we say first of all, I don’t own it. My partner’s don’t own it, we say it’s the Lord’s first, right. So a lot of business leaders think their businesses are theirs. They’re wrong. Their businesses are not their business. They’re God’s business. If you’re a Christian, you’re a Christian businessman. What you do on a daily basis is not yours. It’s God’s. So get that straight first. So then True Labs, what True Labs is we call it, we call it the ministry of health and fitness. So if you’re an Olympic caliber athlete, or if you’re somebody who’s just trying to do one thing better to live a little bit healthier life that’s that’s what True Labs is for so.

Barry Meguiar

So it’s great stuff, you can find it Sam’s Club right now. I, your sleep product, by the way, just take this little package, put it in water. I have two people who have horrible sleep patterns one for 30 years. And she’s now sleeping five to six hours a night. She can’t believe it.

Brandon Pogue

So I haven’t even heard this yet. I haven’t even called me to let me know how she was sleeping.

Barry Meguiar

So anyway, so you’re a businessman, you’ve started a fairly new business, the pressures, the finances, the the composition, the manufacturer, you have enormous things on your plate. But your number one goal, the thing that lights your fire every day is?

Brandon Pogue

Well, I mean, we we say we’re taking more with us, and we’re leaving behind. That’s what that’s what we’re doing. And so if we can take more people to heaven, than we’re leaving behind, then we want it doesn’t matter how successful we were in business, it doesn’t matter how successful we were anywhere else. Even even with our family, I mean, I love my family, I’ve got three kids that are serving the Lord two of my kids are at a retreat today serving Christ praising, praising the Lord.

Barry Meguiar

Your family is all is all amazing. But but when you get to heaven, it’s not gonna matter how many your products, my products, we won’t even think about that, non-issue. In comparision of helping somebody into heaven. I think in 1000 years from now, you and I will be celebrating about Jordan and heaven. We won’t be thinking about products or business or anything else. But Jordan, will we take about a billion years for now? I mean, thinking that for a second, the importance of doing that, why are we in the question, why are we not doing it, when it’s so much fun? And it’s eternal?

Brandon Pogue

Yeah, it’s eternal. I mean, that’s the reason why when we’re in Sam’s clubs, and we’re there, letting people sample our products there, and we’re talking to them about our business True Labs. That’s why sometimes the Holy Spirit will just jump on us. And we’ll say, Can I pray with you? And I had this one, it’s that there was this lady named Angela, her husband was a SWAT officer for the police force in Dallas. And we were there and I was like, Can I just pray for you? Because she was talking about some other issues. When you start to talk about health and wellness, it really gets to the innermost being of somebody. And what was interesting is as I got through praying, a lady that we had just brought on board, who’s been on a lot of mission trips with this just loves the Lord. She goes, Do you speak Spanish? And she says, Yes, well, she started speaking Spanish. I don’t know what’s going on. All of a sudden, I’m watching this lady’s eyes. She starts to well up in tears. I’m like, What is going on here? We are, like aisle 14 Sam’s or whatever, Sam’s Club. And this lady is welling up with tears, and she’s getting ministered by the Holy Spirit because we’re just tools that are available.

Barry Meguiar

Isn’t that something, that really amazing

Brandon Pogue

That’s Amazing. So that’s why we call it the Ministry of Health and Fitness. It’s not just about having great products.

Barry Meguiar

We’re all in full time ministry. Back in the early 70s, I give away my age but 1973 I actually thought God was calling me into full time ministry you know the story. And I prayed the most fervent prayer of my life as I think back now the most fervent prayer ever prayed was that day I closed the door my opposite God, I just want to serve you I want to do what you want me to do. If you want me to leave the family business I will do it but I almost need to hear from you with a with a with an audible voice. And when he was they sent this guy to my office I’d never spoken to, didn’t know. He asked me some questions about how’s it going, I started telling about sharing faith and, and he said, You have a wonderful ministry here. And now I said, Why would you say that? He says, the people you’re reaching a pastor couldn’t reach but as a business man, you can’t. He gave me this line. Your business is your pulpit.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah.

Barry Meguiar

Wow. I seen it where they overlap. But I realized, worry. It’s 24/7. I mean, we’re in ministry all the time. Everything we do and say, is affecting people around us in our business and our pleasure and our recreation, what have you. But I saw my business my pulpit. From then to now it’s been my, I love my business. Don’t get me wrong, you love your product. I yeah, I love I love what I do. I mean, I really love what I do. But I recognize God’s given favor to my business. He’s opened up doors, I give him all praise for that. But I also recognize there’s such a higher calling, as we talk about where you get to heaven, it’s not gonna matter about the price of matter, along the way, how many people do we influence?

Brandon Pogue

You know, it’s the same story for my dad, my dad actually was about to before he ever started into business. He said that he felt like he was called the mission work. And he was ready to lay it down and go become a mission missionary in Mexico. And what was really interesting was that later down the road, my dad would retire. And now he goes and builds about 12 churches a year in Mexico. So it’s not that that desire is incorrect. The desire for you to be in ministry, the desire for my dad to be in mission work. It’s not that that’s an incorrect desire. It’s not an incorrect desire. It’s just the way that God fulfills, it may be different than what you and I perceive.

Barry Meguiar

Well, we think of the stereotype, you’re in ministry, you know, or, or you’re secular, you’re laymen. And, and some send and some go, I believe that for a while, okay, this is cool. The more money I make, the more money I give, I send them I get the same brownie points. And I get so dry. What paying for someone else to minister. That is that’s a that’s a for different disaster. We’re all in ministry, it just, it’s not the traditional we’ve been taught, but it’s whatever we do is ministry. 100% of the time, it’s ministry, wherever everything we do, everything we say, is moving everybody watching us closer or further away from God, when we see that it changes the way we live, isn’t it? And the opportunities pop up so fast, you could hardly keep up with them.

Brandon Pogue

Well, you and I were talked about talked about this, you know, I’d had you know, these wins, just I mean, you know, Christ, Christ, Christ and all these different men. And I came in and like on a Thursday and on a Friday and has this kind of in this funk. And I was like, what’s going on? And it was just kind of one of those things that I couldn’t shake it. I couldn’t figure out because everything was right in my life. But what was interesting that Saturday morning, I talked to a friend who had been through some hard family issues, he had had a divorce. But he was talking about Jesus, and he was talking about the Lord’s doing. And then the Lord just gave me a word for this guy, this doctor, he’s a very successful doctor. He’s out of Keller, Texas. And this doctor, I just felt like the Lord was saying, hey, in God’s eyes, you are still a little kid. And God just wants you to, to give you a big hug and just love on you. Even though all these mistakes that he had kind of been through. And when I started to talk to him and let the Holy Spirit use me and then pray with him, that joy came straight back. And I was like, okay, that’s what was missing because everything else seemed to be in line. But it’s talking about Christ, it’s sharing the love of Christ. It’s talking. It’s letting the Holy Spirit use you. Yeah, right. And man, that’s what you and I have in common. That’s why we become so close. It’s because there’s nothing else that’s I mean, I love you. I love your cars. I love your houses, I love air planes, I love all that stuff. That’s great. But everything else pales in comparison to sharing about Christ, period. End of story. That’s the end of the book. That’s all that’s all that counts.

Barry Meguiar

Most late latest statistic 73% of all Americans, 73% of all Americans in America are going to bed every night in mortal fear of impending doom. 73% of Americans but but this statistic is higher for Christians the statistic is higher for Christians it’s more than 73% and and I’m looking at the research why that is but Christians know there’s a hell they know that they probably have more information but when when we’re when we’re serving Him when we’re sharing him the joy comes in

Brandon Pogue

Yeah,

Barry Meguiar

There’s there’s no room for fear

Brandon Pogue

Doesn’t, it doesn’t matter right away maybe

Barry Meguiar

You know, perfect love casts out all fear and we love God and we love our neighbor. And we’re in the game. There’s no worry, there’s no fear He’s directing our steps, his blessing as he’s making everything, all the promise all of his promises come true or fulfilled and manifested when we simply do the one thing he mandated us to do. And that’s share faith, go to the world and preach the gospel.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah, very much. I think this is what you and I were talking about Luke 6:45, the other day, a good man out of the treasure of his heart and bringing forth what is good and an evil man brings out the evil treasure of his high of his heart, right. And so out of the abundance, the heart of the mouth speaks. And for out of the abundance of his heart, his mouth speaks. Oh, so that’s what we were talking about. If it’s in your heart, if you’re practicing, if you’re practicing praise, and Lord, if you’re in your Bible every day, if you’re talking about the Lord, that’s what’s going to birth out of you. So you may be fearful. But if you’re chasing the Lord, and you’ve got the hope you’ve got the joy, then that’s what you’re going to be talking about

Barry Meguiar

We have a lot of Christians that are being religious in their Bible reading, and in their prayer life and doing all the right things. And we need to do all those things. But if we’re doing it just to be religious, out of being out of obligation, there’s no joy in that effect. Wow, I’ve been there. I did that. So I experienced that. But all right, but when you’re focused not on praying, and then the word you’re focused on loving God, and allowing him to speak through you, people, your Bible life, your Bible study comes to life with purpose, you’re digging for scripture, looking for answers to questions, you’re being asked, and you’re praying for all the people God’s bringing your life and going to bring in your life and everything starts having purpose. It all goes and that’s why the lead link in the chain is sharing your faith not being religious, we can do all kinds of good things have no joy and not be helping anybody.

Brandon Pogue

So that’s a great segway into what happened a few weeks ago. So we were at a business meeting, we were celebrating a huge win that we’ve had. And we were in this in this restaurant in Frisco called haywire. And on the third floor, they serve food up there. But they also you know, there’s a bar up there people smoke cigars, and all that stuff. And we had been there early. And I was about to leave, because I’m kind of an early to bed, early to rise kind of guy, right? I get up at five 5:30 every morning. Just love getting up in the morning. So it was about nine o’clock at night. And I was I was ready to go. So I’m trying to leave. And there’s this guy that comes up. And I just felt the Lord say, hey, why don’t you talk to me about him? A little bit. I’m like, really God? And he’s like, yeah, right. And I’m like, I’m tired. It’s nine o’clock, and I need to be in bed by 9:30. And

Barry Meguiar

So how often we had that nudge?

Brandon Pogue

I get it all the time now. Like, the more you practice it, the more it happens. I mean, the more it happens, it’s it’s an everyday almost an everyday occurrence now. I mean, it happened to a lady in a diner the other day, I just, I’ll tell you that story, too. But here’s what’s interesting, this guy was talking. And then this this, this kind of guy a little bit arrogant, almost comes up and says, Hey, what are you guys talking about? I was like, well, we’re talking about God. And I was like, Do you know, Jesus? And you know, so we just started talking more about God. And he goes, Oh, that’s funny. You guys are talking about God. He goes, I’m Jewish. I’m like, well, so was Jesus. And you know, and it was Jordan. So what ends up happening is I’m talking to this other guy, his friend who works for him. And then Jordan was kind of like, you know, really interesting to talk to wanted to kind of lead the conversation. So I pull this guy away. And I’m like, I really wanted to have that one on one conversation. So I ended up praying for this guy. And then I ended up just leaving. After I prayed with this guy. Well, I get a message on Instagram, five days later, and said, Hey, I really been thinking about our conversation in the night about God and Jesus, I was wondering if we can maybe connect and maybe even, you know, talk about a little bit more. So here’s Jordan, who’s a Jewish guy raised Jewish lives in Canada. And he has this overwhelming urge, I guess, to message me on Instagram, because we connected through Instagram. And we do this phone call and 25 minutes later, the guy prays to have Jesus in his heart. And I’m like, I’m like Is this real life? Usually, this kind of stuff happens in person. Here he is in Canada. I’m in Texas. I’d met the guy for about 10 minutes one night, and I guess whatever the Lord was saying was so impactful that he messaged me on Instagram, and accepts Jesus on the phone. And now he’s gone to Scottsdale and I’m like, I’ve got to put him in touch with somebody. I’ve I don’t want to just leave this guy hanging right. And so I’m like, who do we know in Scottsdale, so I frantically call Mom, do you know anybody in Scottsdale? they just bought a house out there. We had met but it was in passing. And she’s like, Well, why don’t you have them call Barry? I’m like, Okay, sure. So I’ll call Barry. So she gives me your number. And then I call you and I just like, Hey, Barry, I don’t really know you. But I’ve got this guy who’s just accepted Christ. He happens to be in the same city you’re in, he accepted Christ on the phone. I just want to I just want somebody to follow up with the guy. And Barry’s like, Man, this is exciting. I’m on it. I’m leaving town this afternoon. But I’ll make time and so you make time and you spend like an hour, hour and a half with the guy, now two hours and you call me. You call you call me on the way to the airport to give me a report. And I was like, I don’t know who this Barry Meguiar guy is, but I friggin love him. This guy’s genuine. And let’s go like let’s go get more people for heaven. So why don’t you tell about what happened in that conversation? Your version of that story?

Barry Meguiar

Well, there’s an Old Town Scottsdale. There’s a old Thai restaurant called the Sugar Bowl. And I met at the sugar bowl. We spent two hours there. And we milked a little scoop of ice cream for two hours to keep the table. And it was nonstop and he was so excited. It wasn’t. The you know, the gentlemen say that is I was excited to meet him. He was excited to meet me. Yeah, I mean, that was a priority. Like, yeah, When can we meet? I said, he I’ll be there. And it was a nonstop conversation. And, and you know, when you tell a mature Christian, you explained about sharing faith, how much fun it is how easy it is. The truth is, most of them still don’t do it. Yeah, they agree with you. But when it comes down to it, they they’ve left their first love, I gotta tell you, they got other things in their life that have taken priority in their life. If you have first love, you’re going to share it with love. So he said, I started talking about this, how you do it, you share your faith, when you tell a new Christian that’s all they know. Oh I’m supposed to share with faith, okay? While they’re already that’s the first thing every Christian new Christian does want to share the faith that he’s telling me, I got so many friends that are asking questions that need to know, Jesus, this is gonna be fun. So we had this great conversation, to hand it back off to you because you got the rest of the story from there.

Brandon Pogue

Well, I mean, what I was gonna say, I was trying to interrupt you. I’m sorry about that. I get so excited about this. But those people who who don’t share about Christ, they’re missing out on so much joy. They may be searching for temporary happiness, but the joy of what they could be getting, if they would share. It’s it’s, it’s life changing. It’s not just life changing for you, but you’re also life changing for others. And that’s why I think you and I connected. But here’s what’s so interesting. So. So Jordan calls me after you and he’s excited. So then he calls his buddy, Michael buchi, who’s up in Canada, and says, Hey, my buddy, Michael wants to talk on the phone. I’m like, Okay, well, let’s talk on the phone. Well, I talked to Michael buchi, the next day, and guess what? We pray, he accepts the Lord. So now I’ve got these two guys in Canada, one of them who I’ve never met face to face I don’t think, who, we started doing a zoom call now. Every week, we do a zoom call, and I bought him a book. It’s 10 steps towards Christ. And they’re going through that book.

Barry Meguiar

So you’re discipling them.

Brandon Pogue

And so and yeah, so I didn’t just didn’t just get saved and then just say, you know, talk to you later.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah,

Brandon Pogue

we’ve got a constant communication. In fact, Jordan, FaceTime me this morning is we were out of town last week. I’m back in town this week. He’s like, Hey, are you back? I want to get together. I want to come to church with your Sunday. So ,

Barry Meguiar

Wow.

Brandon Pogue

It’s I mean, that’s what’s happening. He’s moved from Canada, he’s moving to Frisco. And so now we actually get to live life together. This guy who I thought was a little bit annoying first, almost because it’s so brandish about being Jewish and I was talking to this other guy. But at the same time, he just had this hunger because he really wanted to know.  you know, and so now I’ve got these, these two guys, I have another guy who had been working out here at True Labs. We’ve got a gym here, who accepted Jesus because it was Easter weekend. And I said, Hey, where are you going to church this Sunday? He goes, Well, my family really doesn’t go to church anymore. And I’m like, Well, do you want to go with us? I mean, that’s the easiest thing, right? Do you want to go with us?

Barry Meguiar

Wow,  Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

So he comes with this. He goes with a Sunday, he texts me Sunday night, and he said, Hey, look, I’m ready to accept Christ in my heart.

Barry Meguiar

Wow,

Brandon Pogue

So he comes here Monday, accepts Christ. And it’s hard. I mean, I’m just bawling. I’m just crying because it’s there’s so much joy in that.

Barry Meguiar

He accepted Christ in your office?

Brandon Pogue

Yeah, yeah. Right. In fact, it was literally like in these chairs right here. So what’s really cool, he comes to works out, you know, Monday, Tuesday, and then next week, he brings another guy named Joaquin. And Joaquin was just like, hey, I want to know more about the Lord. You know, Will’s been telling me what you’ve been talking about. So we’re sitting in these chairs at six o’clock at morning And what’s interesting is like I was here reading my Bible, and I’m really, I really take that time. And I love that time in the Bible. I don’t. I’m very selfish with it, right? But the Lord was telling me in the back of my head, hey, put your Bible down, you need to talk to these guys. So that’s what happened with Will. He was here on a Saturday and I was just wanting to pray before we work out and just have my time. But God was like, put your Bible down and talk to this guy by what you’ve been trained about. And so he gets saved. He brings this guy Joaquin. So Joaquin, it’s six in the morning. And you know, who’s even doing anything at six in the morning? But we started talking about the Lord conversing and I looked, and I said, you’re ready to accept Christ aren’t you? He goes, Yes, I am.

Barry Meguiar

Wow

Brandon Pogue

I was like, oh, let’s, let’s go, let’s, let’s have you accept Christ. And then we’ll go downstairs and workout. And that’s literally what happened. He accept Christ. So. So now he’s coming out here. So now I’ve got these four new guys.  New guys, they’re a little bit younger than me, you know, about 10 years, 15 years younger than me. And I’m just being able to share with them how great it is to live a life of Christ. And I was talking with Jordan this morning about Psalms 1:12. That what what the benefits of the righteous are? And it was just blowing his mind about when you look at Psalms 1:12. The promises that God gives, for those that that keep His commandments, and that trust and fear, fear the Lord. If you haven’t read Psalms 1:12 Go read it. It will encourage you today.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah,  it really will. You know that? How do we show God that we love him? It’s repeated several times in Scripture that we we show him we love Him, If You Love Me, he actually says there’s of Jesus, if you love me keep my commandments. Well, they asked me what’s the most important commandment of course, and we know this, he says, Love me with all the all your heart, mind, soul and say everything, I mean, really loved me, nothing separating us. And then the second goes with it, when you love him, you will love your neighbor as yourself.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah,

Barry Meguiar

And, and that’s not just doing nice things for them. If you love your neighbor as yourself, you’re as concerned for their salvation as you are your own. So you’re loving them into heaven. And when we do that, everything’s working. And that’s our faith. It all works is that the topic is it’s so clear that this is what we’re called to do. And yet, when’s the last time any was the hardest sermon? That that was focused on Ephesians 4:8 says the role of the pastor to equip the saints for ministry to send us and we’re not being sent. And that’s why the world is in a mess. So it takes people I mean, you’re in your office, you, by the way, you said outside your office. I mean, you do it all the time. You mentioned a lady in a grocery store or something. I mean, because yeah, we were, you’ve got so many stories about bumping into people or the story outside of your office there.

Brandon Pogue

So my contact with Walmart, the guy who’s kind of our representative, who gave us a relationship with Walmart, Sam’s. He and I were having breakfast, one morning outside, and this lady comes in serve serves us and it’s it’s so funny, because you don’t know when the Lord is going to start speaking to you, right? So we are ordering eggs and sausage and biscuits or whatever. And the Lord just starts saying, hey, look, why don’t you don’t you tell this, this lady about me? And I’m like, Okay, God, let’s, let’s see what happens. You know, I mean, you never lose. When you do that. You may look, you may look weird, but you know, you serve the Lord, right?

Barry Meguiar

That’s right.

Brandon Pogue

So so I asked this lady, hey, what’s going on? She’s like, you know, she starts to open up. And I said, Tell me about a relationship. Do you have relationship with God? And she’s like, No, no, I don’t she goes, but today is my 28 Day sober. She’d only been sober for 28 days.

Barry Meguiar

Wow.

Brandon Pogue

And so, me and Kelly, so Kelly just loves the Lord, too. We just start to talk about the Lord right there at this place called Exquisit and McKinney. And what was amazing about this, this lady, she just started, she just started, she lost it. She just started weeping uncontrollably, because I was like, Look, I think the Lord is doing this in your life and I told her some things. And then I told her, you know, God is working 10,000 things on her behalf, but she only knows about a couple of them. And that really comes from from the Bible from the Old Testament, where he’s talking about the Lord is working for those who seek Him. And you know are going oh my gosh, why am I having a mind blank right now? There is a scripture and I’ll find it in a second. My mind is when did you start talking to look at

Barry Meguiar

I reminded of the word says his thoughts for us are as as the grains of sand on the beach.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah, that’s yeah,

Barry Meguiar

That’s how much he thinks about us individually. What he thinks of us.  Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

Yes. So anyway, we just started talking and she weeps and then I give her the number to our church and I and I, you know, because it’s, it’s a male female relationship. I don’t want that. So I pass it off to our church and they’ve got a women’s ministry. And she texted that women’s ministry now. And then I and then I was with my mom and dad at the same restaurant a couple of weeks later. And you know, you’ve already described my mom as being a pistol, which she is. And so she connects with her. And so now we’re getting her to church from just having, you know, eggs and bacon and biscuits.  So it’s so cool to see what the Lord is doing. Oh, it’s Jeremiah 29:11. So sorry. Oh, God,

Barry Meguiar

There we go.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah, for I know, the plans I have for you. In the future, right.

Barry Meguiar

Oh, that’s great.

Brandon Pogue

But Jeremiah 29:11. And it’s like, when you say that, and people say, Wow, God’s actually fighting on my behalf. God actually wants to give these things to me? He wants to bless me. He wants to give me hope. I think that’s the biggest thing when you’re talking about the 73% of America being distraught. It’s because people have lost hope. And what is what is the joy of the Lord? Right? God comes to give us peace, hope and love. Right?

Barry Meguiar

Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

And so if you have hope you can go forever on hope I can go completely broke on hope.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah. You know, um, the, it’s interesting. How quickly people who have smiles on their faces acting normal, how quickly they will move to tears? That, yeah, most people around us. If you look to the eyes of God, you can almost see the pain through their laughter.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah.

Barry Meguiar

And they can move from that laughter to tears to sobbing in moments. Their, their fear, their, their anxiety, it’s so close to the surface. And they’re so desperate for help. And we have, we have the good news. And, and when we just throw our I call it chumming, you follow the nudge, right?

Brandon Pogue

Yeah,

Barry Meguiar

We all know that nudge is God nudges you, you need to say something to that person, you need to call that person that’s a need. I’m talking to somebody in God’s prompting you, nudging you, I need to pray for this person. And when you do it, it’s like, I you walk away, say, I’m so thankful. Thank you. I heard your voice. And I did it. That that experience is amazing, isn’t it?

Brandon Pogue

Well, and yeah, and there’s grace there, right. So so don’t say, you know, Don’t be weird about and say Thus saith the LORD, right?

Barry Meguiar

No.

Brandon Pogue

But what I say, hey, look, I’m a Christian. And I love Jesus. And I felt like God may be saying this to you. And so there’s, you get that element where you can kind of back out.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah,

Brandon Pogue

Like, I felt like God is saying this. I felt like I felt like this is going on. And I’m telling you, I’ve never had it return void. I’ve never had somebody say, well, weird,

Barry Meguiar

Never

Brandon Pogue

Hear at True Labs, a customer calls in and they say, Hey, we need to do this, and this with our order. And when I this is what I do. When I’m on a customer call, I say you know, we give them Chick fil A Customer Service with a smile, my pleasure. But what I what I always say is, hey, we’re not necessarily a Christian company. But we’re a company made of Christians. And we have a prayer list. And we would love to pray for you as well. Anything that we can pray about. And when people when people hear that, like the walls fall down, I had this one guy who said, you know, it’s amazing that you’re saying that. He said, I have an HVAC contractor. He said, I’m he’s an HVAC contractor who’s up in hot attic all day, down in Texas. And we’ve got a hydrate product or hydrate product helps people who sweat. And he goes, You know, I love your product. But he said, it’s interesting that you’re asking about that because I’m waiting on the call to go pick up my brother from prison today. Oh, he’s I’m supposed to get the call today to go pick up my brother from prison. And since he has been in prison, there has been an amazing change in my life. And I want him to know that God can do the same thing for him that he did for me. He’s like, I’ve got I’ve got a mortgage. I’ve got a family. I’ve got kids now. And God wants to do the same thing for him. If he’ll just give his life over to God. I remember this conversation so vividly. So I leaned down like, is it okay, if we just pray about that right now? And he said, Yes. So we started praying. And man, I can just hear the tears on the other side of the phone just started coming down. Here’s this guy called in. He called into our company, right for a product. So so he’s crying on the phone. So I say in Jesus name. Amen. Right. I mean, True labs is your is your is your pulpit, right?  Yeah, it is. It’s, it’s a ministry.

Barry Meguiar

Here’s the point. At any given time, 90% of the people around us when we’re in public 90% of the people around us are lost.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah.

Barry Meguiar

And we occasionally get the privilege of talking to one and we’re overwhelmed by their needs.

Brandon Pogue

Yeah.

Barry Meguiar

And by their despair. And the fact of the matter is, wherever we are God knows the needs of all those people. We don’t see them but they’re all there. And we can be about our business and we could be busy and walk right by them. Or we could have our antennas up and be looking and listening to God, we can’t touch everybody. But if you listen, if you’re sensitive to God’s nudge, and that’s the best way to say it. I mean, it’s not a matter of you’re going to talk to everybody you see, but out of those people around you, as you move through, be listening to God’s voice, and he’ll nudge you to stop. And every time you do that, as you say, it always comes back it always. And you say, Thank God, I heard your voice, and you use me. And I come back to that scripture in Isaiah 43:10. I appointed, I appounted you as my witness, so that you will believe. And every time maybe just we go on and on and on. But talking about faith sharing, just as we close out, Brandon, talk to those of us to those watching us right now. What it does for them, what what, what would you say to them that they’re missing out on what happened to it? Can you can you, I try to articulate it. But I think it would be good. If you could put it through your own experience. We live in different worlds. We’re different age, different generation. We’re one I mean, it’s just it’s just you’re my brother, you really are my brother, I love it. I just it’s amazing. But you say things differently than I do. Through your words. Why should people start sharing their faith?

Brandon Pogue

Well, I mean, the only thing that I can think of is if you don’t share your faith, you’re missing the reason why you’re waking up every morning. It’s that it’s that much of a game changer. It’s that much of a life giving joy. And once you do it, once you have one person come and say, You know what I want to trust in Christ, I want to give my heart to the Lord. And you get to see that. And you don’t always get to see the you don’t always get to see the fruit at the end of the day. I don’t see them come off the tree.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

But man when you see that, and that happens, and it’s like the Lord, Who created the heavens and the earth and every planet, everything ever. He’s using you to do something that changes someone’s life for eternity. That I remember I did the starfish parable, there’s this guy on the beach and there’s all these starfish that are they’re about to die because you know, they they’ve come out of the beach, and the guys picking up star fishes and he’s thrown him back in the ocean. You know, I don’t know if you’re, there’s 1000s of there’s 1000s of starfish. And he’s grabbing a starfish. And he throws it back in the ocean. And there’s no way that he could ever get all the star fishes that are on this, this ocean shore. And this lady this this newspaper lady, she, she comes up and she goes, sir, I see what you’re doing. And I see that you do this every day you go and grab starfish and you throw them back in the ocean. She goes, there’s no way that you can possibly save all of these starfish. And he just looks at her and he smiles. He grabs another one he chucks it into the ocean. He goes it saved that one. And I think I think when you look at it that way, you don’t look at the entire, you know, damnation of the Society of where we’re at now. But you look at that guy, Jordan, you look at Joaquin, you look at Will.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

You look at Michael buchi. Right. Those guys lives now have ever been have been forever change.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah.

Brandon Pogue

Because of what the what God Almighty let me do through him.

Barry Meguiar

Yeah. And probably, you bet you touched on it earlier, but probably 99% of the people that you’re influencing and moving closer to the Lord, you’re you will not know that till you get to heaven.

Brandon Pogue

That’s right.

Barry Meguiar

I picture people coming up in heaven and saying, you know, because of your influence, I mean, I for all of eternity, will be celebrating that for those of us who are Christians. The only thing that matters 100 years from now is how many people are in heaven because of our influence. And most Christians have not led one person to the Lord. With opportunity around the we have to account for that. He’s given us influence. We all have influence. People living on the street have influence. What are we doing with our influence? The bonuses, that when we do that? It comes back on us, you know, we think we were doing because we want to get people into heaven but he comes back he said but I appointed my witness for whatit will do for you. Because they’ll give you faith and put a bounce in your step. So it’s a win-win situation, isn’t it?

Brandon Pogue

And I think I think be bold about it about it, I think to be very bold about and say you know you may make some mistakes, you’re not going to fail. You may make mistakes, and you may not know how to talk to somebody about Jesus. But just try it. If you’ll just try it, God will start I mean you’ll I sort of feel like a burning sensation come up in the back my neck and it’s like God’s about to speak. It’s, have you ever experienced that Barry?

Barry Meguiar

Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. This is great Brandon. Thank you he is Brandon Pogue TrueLabs go to go to Sam’s Club and find.

For you, but it’s a personal testimony, but most importantly, we give testimony. We are soulmates. My brother, Brandon, I’m so fortunate that God brought you into my life. We’re gonna have a lot of fun. Going forward in this in this fight, we’ll fight the good fight our last breath.

Brandon Pogue

Thanks so much, Barry, love you love your wife, love your family. Thank you for helping in this journey. This is so much fun.

Barry Meguiar

Wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And everybody. I hope that gives you an idea of what we’re talking about here. I mean, this is real. We’re just people going through life, but recognize it or life is ministry. Everything we do is leading people closer or further away from God, we’re all you are in full time ministry. We all we all are. Let’s take advantage of it. These perilous times, are making it easier than ever. I’ve been sharing my faith for 40 years. It’s never been easier. Now. It’s 1,000%. But you heard Brandon say the same thing. Everybody, but everybody is desperate. There’s no question God has allowed these perilous, perilous times to bring fear because fear is not a bad thing. When you’re when you’re afraid you’re looking for something bigger than you to bring safety to you. And that sets them up for the message of the good news of Jesus Christ. We have the privilege think about it folks out of out of 1000s of years and billions of people. He’s, he selected us to be here at this moment. At this at this end of the age, most likely Jesus coming to you could come tomorrow, but whenever he’s coming, we have the privilege. We not only have privilage of knowing him but the privilege of sharing him and everybody needs him. But we could do this. We could do this. 30 million of us know the Lord and already have influences the statistics proven it. Already a direct influence with 80% of the people that are unchurched. We have this I mean, the fields are white for harvest, but the laborers are few that’s the only problem is us. Let’s, we could do this. I mean, it’s not a problem, we can do this, we could change America, we can. Between now and the end of time if we work together, we get millions of people in heaven. If that doesn’t light your fire, then you’re hopeless. Okay. Anyway, I hope you hear this message join with us go to IgniteAmerica.com if you want to just learn more about how easy it is we’ll just make it so easy. You just want to jump in and start doing it right away. Most importantly love God with all your heart, mind and soul, what it really that happens automatically. Okay. Love you all and we’ll see you next time.
