Speaker 1 00:03
Hi. My name is Donte Heath. By career I’m a well, I’m a well inspector in the oil fields. But my major career, the one that I love, the one that I’m sold out to, is I’m a Christian. I follow Jesus. I love Jesus. I want to tell everybody about Jesus, like when I met my wife, I told everyone about her, and that’s how I feel about Jesus. Or even more, I tell everywhere I go, I try to tell somebody about the love of Christ and what he done for me, amen. And I want to share a couple of stories with you guys. Wanted to stop by the store. We were driving down the street. We saw a store, a store on the side of the road. So we stopped, got out, I got the car, went in to give me a drink, because I was thirsty. As I come out, this guy asked me for some change. And I was like, Whoa, yes. Thank you, Jesus, an opportunity to tell someone about your love. So I, I sat there, I listened to the guy, don’t give him the money right away, because that’s like a little bait just hanging there, just, you know, that’s, I hate to say it like that, but that’s what it was. It was bait. Bait for Jesus, is what I call it. And so I’m talking to the guy, and I’m listening to his story. He just stuck here. He met a girl and, and she kicked him out in the week. He’s from Los Angeles, and he’s been stranded in Beginsville for like, a year and a half. And so I told him, you know what, I want to help you, but I want to tell you something. Jesus set this moment up in time for me to tell you about his love, and he sent me to help you. It wasn’t me, it was God and how much he loves you. He sent me to help you. Ain’t that amazing, man? I just want to tell you that Jesus loves you. And the guy began to cry, and I began to minister to him and tell him about my life as a gang member and being in prison, and how God changed my life when I had no hope, and I didn’t think I was ever going to get out of this life. And when I called on the name of Jesus, he changed my life. He changed my way of thinking, he changed my heart. He changed my situation. He changed my circumstance. I began to tell this guy, and his eyes lit up, and he just grabbed me and start crying. And he said, he said, and I told him, I said, do you want today for your life to be different? And he was crying. He said, yes, yes, I want it. I want what you got. And so I said, say this prayer with me. And we began to say the prayer. I don’t remember exactly what I told him, because I do it different every time, but he gave his life to Jesus. He gave his life to Jesus. And I said, you know what man God would put it on my heart? I said, you meet me at the Greyhound bus station tomorrow, and I’ll send you back. So all night this guy called me. I gave him my number. All night he’s calling me. He’s calling me all night. So all night I’m giving him scripture. I’m ministering to him. Say, I’m not lying to you. I’m not lying I’ll be there. He called me again. Are you going to be there? Are you going to be there? I said, I’m going to be there. Guess what? I was running a little late. I was running a little late the Greyhound bus station. This guy almost went to jail. They wouldn’t let him in. He was they thought he was just hanging around, loitering. And so I got there, I could see his face. He lost hope. I said, man, I’m sorry. I’m here. I’m here. I gave him the money. I prayed with him, me and my wife and my children prayed with him. He got his ticket, got on the bus, and he’s back in Los Angeles with his family. And that just warmed my heart so much. And that’s all it takes. It’s that easy. One of my, one of my, two of my favorite people in the Bible is Elijah and Stephen. The results are not ours. We can’t get mad when people reject it. They rejected Stephen, they beat him and they stoned him. But he said, Father, do not hold this against them. Do not hold this against them. Lord, forgive them. And that’s all we got to do. All we got to do is we get mad over just a simple rejection. He got stoned. All we got to know that God has a final say, and he plants the seeds. So I just want to tell you guys, go forward and give God glory in everything you do, and don’t be scared to say, hey, Jesus loves you.
