What percentage of people who attend church regularly are saved?

45% of people who attend church regularly are NOT saved!

This IgniteAmerica Certified Statistic is based on the following research:

Percentage of churchgoers that are born-again and attend church :

42%    General Social Survey, 2016

40%    General Social Survey, 2012

44%    Religion and Public Life Survey, 2010

47%    Religions News Survey, Public Religion Research Institute, 2011

48%    Baylor Religion Surveys, Baylor University, 2007

Cultural Context:

In the past, church attenders went to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night, with regular calls for repentance and altar calls. Now it’s a brief ‘once a week’ obligation before lunch and a ballgame on Sundays, with no calls for salvation or altar calls. As a result, almost half of all regular church attenders believe themselves to be Christian, simply because they go to church, sing the songs and give their money.

Scriptures:

Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:9-10

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

God saved you by His Grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this, it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for good things we have done (like going to church), so none of us can boast about it.
Ephesians 2:8-9

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is believing in your heart that you are made right with God and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
Romans 10:9-10

There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,[a] you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So, don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’
John 3:1-7

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.
1 Peter 1:23
