My name is Lyndsee Farzan, and I am from Bakersfield, California. I am 29 years old, and I am a new mom to Olivia June Farzan. She’s the joy of my life. And I have, you know, found out recently that I believe that is one of the greatest callings that God has placed on my life. But something else that I absolutely love doing is sharing with people about the name of Jesus. One of the times that I want to share with you, I was sitting in my living room and I was working on a paper, and I was in college, and to be honest, I had procrastinated, and I only had a couple hours to finish this paper, and I was sitting there and I was typing, and I was flowing and going, and all of a sudden I heard a loud crash outside of my apartment, and I ran outside, and I was not dressed. I had no shoes on. I was not ready to go, but I saw this car accident take place, and I saw all these kids coming out of this car, and immediately I thought, you know, I could be that crazy neighbor who goes over there, or I could just go inside my house and act like I didn’t see a thing. And so I turned around because I had a paper to write, but I felt the Lord say to me, go and tell them about me. And immediately I stopped, and I said, okay, so I walked over there, barefoot and all, and I just said, Hi, my name is Lyndsee. I know you guys don’t know me. I live right here. Is there anything I can do to help you guys? And they were just totally shaken up. They were scared. The kids were crying. The mom didn’t know what to do, and I looked over and I said, Can I get you some water? They said, sure. So I ran inside, I came back, I brought them some water, and I noticed that two of the teenagers were dressed up what looked like to go to a dance. And I started, just maybe, you know, trying to start a conversation with them. And I said, well, where are you guys going? And they said, well, we were on our way to our senior prom. And I thought, Oh my goodness. And immediately I heard the Holy Spirit ask them if you can take them. And I thought, they don’t know me. They’re gonna think I’m crazy. But I looked at them and I said, I know you don’t know me, but you know what, I’m a Christian. I said, I’m a good person. Would you like me to take you to your prom? And the mom reached out and she said, yes, please. Can you do that? I said, yeah, no problem. So they got in my car and I and, you know, you think it’s crazy hearing random people get in your car. I thought it was crazy. I thought, Lord, what are you doing? And the whole time in the car, I’m praying. I said, God give me something to share with them, or God, tell me something about them so that they can know that you’ve sent me, you know, to speak to them. And I wasn’t getting anything. And so I just started trying to start conversation with them. And I realized as I looked back that there was just tears down their face and that they were so overwhelmed from the accident. But I truly believe that they weren’t just overwhelmed by the accident, but there was some things going on in their life that they were very overwhelmed with. And so I just looked at him, and I just began to share the love of Jesus with him, and I said, I know that you don’t know me, and you might not have relationship with me, but I want to tell you that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. And I want to tell you right now the feelings that you’re feeling. If you allow God to come into your life, he can help bring peace to you like nothing else. And they just sat back and listened, and they were quiet for quite a while, and we got to the place where I was going to drop them off, and I looked at them, and I said, you know, if you are ever in need of anything, there’s this church that I know, and I told them about our church, and I said, I’m this. I’m here at this place on Wednesday nights, at seven o’clock. I would love to see you there if you ever need anything. My name is Lyndsee. And they got out of the car, and as soon as they left, I just began to pray for them, and I could not shake their faces out of my, my mind. Both of them were two twin sisters, and I just felt like God had planted me there for a reason. A month later, I had been asked to speak, and I was speaking at a youth night at the place that I invited them to, and I was sharing just a message of hope, and I did a big salvation call. And I’m going to tell you that I happened to look back in the back of the room, and it was one of the girls who was in the accident, and I saw her face, and I just began to cry. I’m like, she’s here, she’s here, she’s here. I didn’t get her, her name. I didn’t even get her number that day, and I just could not believe that she actually came. And the service ended, but we were doing baptisms at the end of the service. And I said, man, I want to get to her, but there were so many young people around. It was an awesome time. And all of a sudden I looked up they said, we have one more person that wants to get baptized. And it was that girl, Carrie, that was in the accident, and she came up to the tank, and she took off her shoes, and she got in this baptism tank. And I began to tell her what water baptism was. And I asked her, why is it that you’re wanting to do this? And she said, I want to let it go. I want to let it all go, and I want to give it all to him. And I was able to baptize her that night. Since then, Carrie has been a part of our community, our church, who’s just had a fun worship night that we had when we got together over New Year’s. And I just think about that moment.

It. I had a really good opportunity, and honestly, I wanted to. I wanted to stay in my house. It was convenient for me to stay in my house, to eat my cookies, to type my paper. I can tell you that sharing Jesus isn’t always the most comfortable thing when you’re stepping out of your comfort zone, but it is always worth it, and He always gives you the words to say if you are willing to lay aside conveniences and have a heart like Jesus, full of compassion, He will do great and mighty things with you and through you. So I challenge you, encourage you tell everyone you know about Jesus Christ. Let’s make him known together, and we’re going to see great and mighty happen for the Kingdom of God.
